HOW WE MULTIPLY
Our methodology equips businesses to access funding and manage it effectively, enabling long-term sustainable growth.

We act as a bridge between capital providers and SMEs in Portuguese-speaking countries, such as São Tomé and Príncipe. We offer a holistic program that includes financial literacy training, technical assistance and ongoing monitoring.
Multiplica provides specialized support in preparing and obtaining financing that allows entrepreneurs to access financing opportunities more efficiently and in ways that are better suited to their needs.

OUR PILLARS OF ACTION

MultiCapacita The capacity-building programme for access to finance aims to prepare micro and small enterprises to understand the characteristics of different financing options, such as grants, loans, and investments. It also supports businesses in estimating their funding needs to increase productivity and scalability, assessing the maturity of their operations, and ultimately selecting the financing opportunity that best suits their growth.
MultiPrepara The technical assistance programme for access to finance complements the capacity-building programme by offering practical support to help micro and small enterprises prepare to meet the requirements and procedures needed to apply for their chosen financing opportunity. This programme supports businesses in organising documentation, preparing business plans, understanding eligibility criteria, and navigating the administrative processes required by funders.

MultiConecta
The financing matchmaking programme for micro and small enterprises aims to create a dynamic network that connects local and international capital providers — including investors, financial institutions, and grant programmes — with micro and small enterprises that have identified critical funding needs to optimise and scale their products or services.
This programme builds on the support provided through technical assistance, facilitating access to financial resources that are well suited to each business's needs. Acting as an intermediary, Multiplica not only simplifies transactions between businesses and funders, but also implements a tailored matchmaking system that aligns the financial needs of enterprises with the most appropriate capital providers. This process increases the likelihood of successful financing agreements, supporting business growth and development, while also offering funders diversified opportunities and effective risk management.

Intermediation of financing opportunities.

MultiAcompanha The monitoring programme for micro and small enterprises that access financing is a stage that takes place after the financial resources have been secured, complementing the capacity-building and technical assistance programmes. This programme aims to track and support the implementation of the financing, ensuring that the resources are used effectively and in line with the company’s goals.
Monitoring includes assessing the impact of the financing and the conditions attached to it — for example, in the case of debt, offering support for potential restructuring needs. In addition, the programme evaluates the social and environmental impact of the business’s activities on the community, ensuring that growth is sustainable and benefits the communities involved, while mitigating negative impacts and enhancing positive ones.
